“Former President Trump and President Biden are now locked in a near tie in the latest New York Times/Siena Poll as Trump holds a one-point advantage, 46-45%. Our last poll in February showed Trump with a five-point lead. Both candidates are viewed unfavorably by a majority of Americans with nearly one in five, 18% holding an unfavorable view of both. Among those double haters, Biden leads 30-21% with nearly half saying they’d vote for someone else, stay home or that they are yet to make a decision.

Seventy-nine percent, up from 73% in February, give the economy a negative grade. Nearly two-thirds approve of how Trump handled the economy while president while 63% currently disapprove of Biden’s economic stewardship. As Trump readies to face criminal charges in New York, a majority, 54%, continue to say that the former president committed serious federal crimes.”
