Trump Leads Clinton 43-39% in Four-Way Race of Long Island Likely Voters
Majorities on Long Island Say Nation Headed in Wrong Direction; Have Unfavorable View of Both Clinton and Trump
This Newsday/News12/Siena College Poll was conducted September 14-20, 2016 by telephone calls conducted in English to 833 self-identified likely Long Island New York voters. Respondent sampling was initiated by asking for the youngest male in the household. It has an overall margin of error of +/-3.4 percentage points including the design effects resulting from weighting. Sampling was conducted via a stratified dual frame sample of landline and cell phone telephone numbers drawn from the L-2 Voter File. The sample was drawn to reflect known population patterns. Data was statistically adjusted by age, party, county, race and gender to ensure representativeness.
