Dr. Don Levy, Director. Dr. Levy currently serves as the director of the Siena College Research Institute (SCRI). Dr. Levy came to Siena in August of 2007 and has been instrumental in focusing Siena’s polling not only on statewide and local politics but also on economic and social issues important to all New Yorkers.
Dr. Levy founded and served for two years as the Co-Director of the Institute for Social and Community Research (ISCR) at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and prior to that as Director of Research at the Center for Population Research (CPR) at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Levy holds a Ph.D., in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. from Yale University.
In addition to supervising SCRI’s political and economic polling, Dr. Levy has conducted studies while at Siena on the implications of the recession, civic engagement, health, charitable giving, leisure time and sports fanship and New Yorkers’ attitudes towards the real estate market. Dr. Levy has recently completed polling in partnership with major media partners including the New York Times, C-SPAN, Newsday, the Albany Times Union and the Buffalo News.
Dr. Douglas A. Lonnstrom, Founding Director. A professor of finance and statistics, Dr. Lonnstrom served six years as head of the Quantitative Business Analysis Department at Siena and as Dean of Business for seven years. Dr. Lonnstrom has a Ph.D. in Urban and Environmental Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Economics from Siena College. Dr. Lonnstrom served as a Director of SRI since its beginning and has written and spoken on its research in numerous venues and publications.
Meghann M. Crawford, Director of Data Management. Ms. Crawford acquired her research experience working in both market research and public opinion polling at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion as Survey Operations Manager and Project Director. In addition to her main responsibilities of programming and data analysis, Ms. Crawford is involved in project and computer systems management. She holds an MBA from Marist College and a B.S. in Business from SUNY New Paltz.
Colleen M. Kromrey, Director of Project Management. Mrs. Kromrey gained her research experience working in the private sector for nearly ten years and as a member of the Market Research Association (MRA). Her responsibilities include management of the National Assessment for Service and Community Engagement (NASCE), working with the Academic Liaison, and overseeing the internship program. She also is responsible for full management of multiple projects including questionnaire development, programming, and data analysis. Colleen holds an A.A.S from Fulton Montgomery Community College and a B.A. in Sociology from Siena College.
Leslie Foster, Business Development Manager. Ms. Foster joined the staff at the Research Institute in October, 2014. Her work experiences is in the CPG industry and in Education. Ms. Foster holds a B.A. in Communications from SUNY Plattsburgh and an M.S. Ed. Degree from the College of St. Rose.
Leslie's role is focused on business development, relationship management, strategic planning, lead generation, brand promotion, and client-centered marketing, communications, and operations.

Travis Brodbeck (he/him), Associate Director of Data Management. Travis Brodbeck '17 G'18 currently serves as the Associate Director for Data Management of the Siena College Research Institute. Mr. Brodbeck's tenure with SCRI began in February of 2017 when he worked as a data analysis intern and evolved into a full-time position as the Pre-Election Poll Coordinator following the completion of his Masters in Accountancy in 2018. Mr. Brodbeck's contributions to the SCRI team have been concentrated in data analysis, data visualization, and project management. In addition to his main responsibilities, Mr. Brodbeck applies his education and experience in improving internal processes through automation.
Outside of public opinion polling, Mr. Brodbeck's research focused on homelessness from his services at CARES of NY, Inc. analyzing homelessness data both as a student and throughout the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Mr. Brodbeck also serves in the classroom as an adjunct instructor teaching both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
Mr. Brodbeck is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Polling (AAPOR) where he has attended three national conferences and presented papers at two of those events. He holds an MSA in Accounting, a Graduate Certificate in Data and Analytics, and a B.S. in Accounting and Economics from Siena College.

Andrea Cianfarani (she/her), Associate Director of Operations. Andrea graduated from Siena College in May of 2022 with her B.S. in Marketing and a concentration in Digital Marketing. She is currently pursuing her MBA focusing on Business Analytics, along with her M.S. in Marketing Analytics at American University part-time online. In her spring semester senior year, she worked as an intern at SCRI, and began her full-time position the following month upon graduation. Andrea's main responsibility at the Research Institute is dealing with all forms of internal and external marketing communications that relate to SCRI's work, along with the organizations financial operations.
